I took the following photos in an open area by my house that I enjoy going to and around my house as well.

Image #1
Point:
This example reminded me of the building in the reading captioned "destructive points." Although I am not sure how these points were made, they look very similar to the points shown in the reading. I took this picture straight on and in an area with more texture. I would say the texture in this image would be "concrete texture" because it has a robust appeal.

Image #2
Point:
The points in this photo are represented by the flowers. I believe the stems could also represent lines as well. The bud of the flower would be a point because it is the end of the stem which could be considered a line. I framed the camera so the view was over top of the flowers to see each point.

Image #3
Point:
I found a bunch of fallen apples on the ground and thought of them as points. They reminded me of a bunch of dots when looking at them through the camera lens. I originally wanted to take a picture of one hanging on the tree but I could not find a shot that I liked best.

Image #4
Line:
The lines in this photo are the poles and telephone wires. I positioned my camera from the ground looking up so there were many different lines to look at.

Image #5
Line:
I lines I found for this photo are each individual plank on the bridge I was walking on. A line is an infinite series of points and I think this is shown really well with this photo. I positioned my camera from a birds eye view so that lines were very visible. I think this image shows a very "concrete texture" because of the criss crossing texture on the wood.

Image #6
Line:
I think this image uses point and line. The main reason I took this photo was for the strings holding up the swing. The light in the trees could possibly also be considered a point. When taking this photo, I positioned my camera looking up so that you could see the rope stretching all the way up to the tree.

Image #7
Plane:
The plane in this photo is the gate the frames the flower in view. I think the planes are each image that is shown between the squares of the gate. When taking this photo, I framed it so that the fence lined up with the flower so that it would act as a frame.

Image #8
Plane:
The plane in this image is the window on the building. I framed this photo using the rule of thirds positioning. The window acts a plane because it looks 2D in length and width.

Image #9
Plane:
The plane in this image would be the background. This photo has point, line, and plane as well. I framed the image so the stem and flower were visible as point and lines and then the background would act as a plane.

Image #10
Volume:
This image shows volume. I think this shows volume well because as the stairs go back farther you can see them getting smaller and smaller. I framed the camera look ing up at the stairs from the ground so you can see them go into the distance.

Image #11
Volume:
This image shows volume because the chair closer to the camera seems bigger and the chair farther from the camera seems smaller to show depth.

Image #12
Volume:
The final image I took to show volume was of a fence the continued down the path. The part of the fence that was closest to me seemed bigger and then got smaller as it goes into the distance. I framed the camera so that you can see how the fence starts to seem smaller as it goes into the distance.
